How to be a Kind Son

Technically, it ought to be easy to be a kind son, for, without your parents, you wouldn’t be here.

Sure, some of you say, you wish you had not been born.

In the midst of your angst and inner chaos, fed by the destructive spirits not of God, you are made to think that way.

Whether your parents loved each other, or loved you, doesn’t really matter, if you were to consider a point I’m about to say.

Every child of God was born on earth, for a purpose.

And your job, as a human being, as a child of God, is to find that purpose.

What does it matter that you find it near the end of your life?

The important thing is you find it, and make use of it.

You will be a man, you will marry maybe, and you will have kids of your own, if you so choose.

But first, choose CHRIST.

In the midst of your heartache, confusion, or depression, choose Christ.

In the midst of your success, and happiness, may you remember Christ.

We cannot be truly kind at anything, unless we have Christ in our hearts first.

If we don’t, then, we are of the world, the very world that crucified Christ.

It’s either CHRIST, or nothing.

You cannot go around that law to happiness, and eternal life.

Only with God can you have everything.

If you feel down, are disappointed, even disgusted with life, your parents, and others, that’s the most beautiful and timely moment to listen to the Spirit of God in you.

The Holy Spirit will guide you back to God, to your real FATHER.

Your parents are your guardians on earth, and ideally, they also have accepted Christ as their SAVIOR.

If they haven’t, you can expect trouble.

Only those who have accepted Christ, will make it easy for others.

They will not cause you harm.

They will always make sure you’re on the right path.

They’re the ones to go to when you are lost or confused.

It could be your parents, your aunts or uncles, your friends, or co-workers – God can be found anywhere, and everywhere.

Do you really think God would allow a hair on your head to be harmed?

“But there shall not an hair of your head perish.”

Luke 21:18
King James Version

Have nothing of the false promises of the world, whether in life, or in work.

Only have Jesus in your heart, and He will teach you to be kind.

Kindness, sometimes, is the will to walk away.

Walk away from those who seek your destruction.

You are doing them a favor by not having you as their target.

Walk back to God instead.

And if you are, and have, then all the better!

You can teach others to be like you – one who loves the FATHER, your true parent.

But honor your own parents, too.

It is in God’s commandment.

“Honour thy father and thy mother:
that thy days may be long upon the land
which the Lord thy God giveth thee.”

Exodus 20:12
King James Version

Can you imagine how your mother carried you in her body, for nine months?

Can you imagine how her life hung in the balance, as she was giving birth to you?

You didn’t know that, did you?

Can you imagine how your parents scraped money together – especially if they had none to begin with – just so you could have food, clothing, shelter, and an education?

Your friends may not be able to give you that – for the long term.

Your parents have.

It is right that we have gratitude for our parents, and acknowledge EVERY sacrifice.

Only parents can really sacrifice the way they do.

You’ll have your turn, when you become a parent.

You’ll see how it all works.

And, by the GRACE and GUIDANCE of God, you’ll make a wonderful parent yourself!

For now, face the world in peace, and walk with God in your heart!

That will give you the grateful heart you need.
